5 Places to Go Biking With Family in Canada By the Boiler Room

Having a shared family hobby is a great way to bond with your partner, kids, and other relatives. But, sometimes, finding the right place to go biking is hard. 1. Ontario’s Waterfront Trail

This waterfront trail extends from Niagara-on-the-Lake to Ontario, to even Quebec. And, if you get tired, you can just hop on the GO and get off at one of the lakeshore stops to continue your journey. The length of the trail is over 780 km, and you get the full view of the Lake Ontario shore.

2. Quebec’s Route Verte

Quebec has over 5,000 km of connected trails. It has a stunning strop called the Véloroute des Baleines (the Whale Trail) that extends from Tadoussac to Baie-Trinité, Quebec.  

3. British Columbia’s Gulf Islands

The great thing about the Gulf Island is that they have great temperatures. The days are usually sunny and there is minimal rainfall. You can ride on Vancouver Island, or Salt Spring Island. It is totally up to you! You can also enjoy the variety of activities to do off the bike, on-route, like artist studios, wine tasting, farmers markets, spas, picnic areas, and dining. There are also many cute new friends you can make on the way, like whales, seals, sea lions, sea birds, and bald eagles (although those may not be so friendly). Your kids will love seeing the cute animals, and so will you!

4. Ride between Banff and JasperThis trail is perfect for a family with experienced and fit cyclists, especially if you have older teenagers, as it has challenging hills and incredible downhill rides. The length of the bike trail is about 290 km, and you get the beautiful view of the mountains.

5. P.E.I’s Confederation Trail

f you have a family of beginners, and you want to travel to the east coast, P.E.I.’s Confederation Trail is perfect. There are not a lot of hills, and you still get a great trail to see the whole island in a few days.
